Shansi, at home

On-Campus Resources

Oberlin Shansi has a deeply rooted relationship with Oberlin College going back to our founding in 1908.

As part of our partnership with Oberlin College, Shansi provides grants to help support programs on Asia and Asian-American issues proposed by any chartered student organizations or program house. Past programs have included guest lecturers, performances, seminars, film discussions on human rights, and more. We also work with groups and organizations on campus to coordinate academic symposia, lecture series, music performances, and many other types of events.

For current students, we offer the Shansi Prize to graduating seniors for exemplary work relating to Asia. You can learn more about the Shansi Prize here.

To learn more about these programs or possibilities for funding and collaboration, please contact the Shansi team at shansi@oberlin.edu or visit us in Peters 103.
