Fellowship benefits
We are the only Fellowship available to recent Oberlin Alumni that provides:
Pre-departure medical expenses up to $2,000.
A guaranteed $1,500 grant for professional development and independent exploration.
Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) training for teaching Fellowships.
Reimbursement for visa expenses.
Shansi offers one of the most generous and comprehensive benefits packages of any post-graduate Fellowship program.
Shansi is one of only two Fellowship programs to offer intensive 6-8 week language training at a language school prior to the Fellowship.
We also provide opportunities for continued language instruction throughout the Fellowship.
