Virtual Info and Q&A Session on the Independent Fellowship

Learn about Shansi’s Independent Fellowship through our info session this Thursday, September 23 at 3 p.m. EST (Join via Zoom).

The Independent Fellowship gives graduating seniors and recent Oberlin alumni the opportunity to work at an NGO, for-profit social enterprise, educational institution, or governmental organization of their choosing in South Asia, Southeast Asia, or East Asia. Applicants can propose to work in a number of fields, including, but not limited to:

  • public health

  • environmental conservation and justice

  • law and human rights

  • community development

  • the arts

  • LGBTQ+ rights and advocacy

Hear more about the amazing work of our former and current Independent Fellows. Learn about the process of planning an application, the generous benefits package, our COVID-19 contingency plans, and more.

Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@oberlinshansi). Can't make this? Look out for future Info Sessions or set up a meeting with Deputy Director Ted Samuel (tsamuel@oberlin.edu) to learn more.
