Please join us for Kenneth Kitahata's In-Asia Grant Presentation, "Cow and Rice Banks: Non-Cash Lending in Battambang, Cambodia" this Friday, March 1st at 4:30 in Peters 129. To promote income security among rural Cambodia's elderly populations, HelpAge Cambodia has developed Cow and Rice Banks. These collective holdings of rice and cows are an informal safety net for aging communities. Kitahata will take a storytelling approach to discuss the impacts of the Cow and Rice Banks among current and recent program beneficiaries.
