Come meet the founder of Nepal's first free private school!
The Students United for Nepal (SUN) at Oberlin -- a group led by Bikalpa Baniya, a winter 2016 In-Asia Grant recipient! -- is putting on two exciting events next week:
First, on Tuesday 10/3, 5-6pm in Wilder 101, Ian Blanchard will be visiting to speak on Maya Universe Academies, which he helped found. These schools in Nepal help educate students and promote thriving sustainable communities at no cost to families. They are the first tuition-free private schools in Nepal.
Afterwards, SUN will host a free dinner with Ian Blanchard from 6-7pm in Wilder 215. Come eat and discuss why he and his co-founders were inspired to start Maya, the struggles they encountered along the way, what future he sees for these schools, and much much more!
