Announcing the Shansi Independent Fellowship

Oberlin Shansi announces its new Independent Fellowship that offers a highly motivated Oberlin College & Conservatory senior or recent alumni the opportunity to develop a full-time Shansi Fellowship in China, India, Indonesia, or Japan.

The Independent Fellowship, initiated and designed by the applicant, is an exceptional opportunity for a creative and responsible Fellow to experience deep cultural immersion while developing academic and professional skills, building networks with peers and counterparts abroad, and pursuing knowledge of an issue or field. Fellows may work with local or international organizations in fields including, but not limited to, public health, the environment, law and human rights, community developments, arts and culture, or gender rights and advocacy.
