
Apply for an In-Asia Grant

Welcome to the In-Asia Grant application page. All first-, second-, and third-year College and Conservatory students may apply to this grant program. Fourth-year double degree students are also eligible. Grants may be used to design individual projects in East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
Important dates:
The application deadline for In-Asia Grant funding for a summer project in 2025 is Tuesday, April 1st, 2025 at 11:59pm ET.
What you need:
It will be easy to complete this application if you have everything prepared in advance. Here is a list of the information and documents you will need to submit:
Your project proposal and budget (see page 2 of the application)
Your resume summarizing your education, work and volunteer experience, awards, skills, and other activities
Your unofficial transcript from the Office of the Registrar.
Two letters of recommendation:
One letter must be from an Oberlin faculty member
One letter may be from an Oberlin faculty, Oberlin staff member, or a person outside Oberlin who has been your supervisor, teacher or mentor.
(Letters from family members or friends will not be accepted.)
Applicants: You must send your recommenders the Recommendation Form link (button above). We suggest sending the Recommendation Form link to your recommender at least 3 weeks before the application deadline.
* Research projects may be subject to IRB approval from Oberlin College.
