GIFTS OF STOCK GUIDELINES

Thank you for considering a gift of stock to Oberlin Shansi. The most direct way for you to contribute stock to Oberlin Shansi is through an electronic transfer from your brokerage account to Shansi’s account at Fidelity.

To initiate a stock gift, please send a brief letter of instruction to Gavin Tritt at gtritt@oberlin.edu outlining:

i) the number of shares,

ii) the name of the stock, and

iii) which brokerage the transfer will come from.

​This is important because stock transferred electronically arrives without information on the sender. Without notice from you, we cannot give you credit or properly acknowledge your gift.

Your broker will need the following information on our account to effect the transfer:
