Selamat Datang: Shansi Open House

Selamat datang, or “welcome” in Bahasa! In conjunction with APID month, Shansi is having an open house to highlight and celebrate Indonesia through music, food, and language! Associate Professor of Ethnomusicology Jennifer Fraser and her students will perform and teach talempong, traditional gongs from Indonesia. Farah Diba, a Public Health lecturer at Syiah Kuala University (SKU) in Indonesia, will share a favorite home-cooked meal. Riswandi, an Economics lecturer at SKU will teach basic conversational phrases in Bahasa.
