Veronica is one of the fellows to Shanxi Agricultural University in Taigu, China for 2012-14.
Veronica graduated in May 2012 with a double major in Computer Science and Latin. She completed 200 level Chinese at Oberlin and has also studied Ancient Greek. During her time at Oberlin she served as a tutor/mentor in the Ninde Scholars Program and was a co-chair and treasurer of the Liberated Unitarian Universalist Voices. She also volunteered with the Interfaith Hospitality Network, and worked at Headstart Preschool with America Reads. She has previously spent a month in China tutoring English and is eager to develop her Chinese language skills, as well as explore assisting the SAU Computer Science program. She is most excited about the teaching aspect of the SAU position as she hopes one day to be a part of education programs that serve low-income, prospective first-generation college students.
